DAISY CHAPMAN releases “She Took Flight”
Singer-songwriter, pianist, and string arranger Daisy Chapman is a well-travelled musician who draws influences from both anti-folk and classical music. It's hard to describe Daisy Chapman's own
style. A fictitious meeting of Neil Hannon with Regina Spektor may represent the first attempt at description. Live, each song holds a dark tale of love, lust and loss, multifaceted through the
voice of Daisy Chapman and Sue Lord on violin.
With "She Took Flight" Daisy Chapman once again underlines her quality as a songwriter and arranger.
She tells in the usual skilful way, with a rich and full sound. Their music is as warm as it is detailed, punchy and cinematic. The string section, percussion, and double bass support the piano
and the voice of Daisy Chapman in telling elaborate stories. Stories with a lot of humour that focus on life as a woman in the 2020s, stories about home and family life as an artist.
Daisy Chapman has performed as part of Crippled Black Phoenix alongside members of Portishead and Hawkwind and is also the lead singer of new prog rock band Venus Principle. As a backing singer,
she has proven her skills many times for well-known artists.
With worldwide tours and appearances in clubs, concert halls and at international festivals such as the Migration Festival in Taiwan or Glastonbury 2022, Daisy Chapman has been proving her skills
again and again for many years. Her voice, style, and expression are her trademark.

Live birgt jeder Song eine dunkle Geschichte von Liebe, Lust und Verlust, die durch die Stimme von Daisy Chapman und Sue Lord an der Violine facettenreich auserzählt wird.
Mit „She Took Flight“ unterstreicht Daisy Chapman erneut ihre Qualität als Songwriterin und Arrangeurin.
