Bobbo Byrnes

Bobbo Byrnes is not a musician who remains still very long. Between The Fallen Stars, Riddle and The Stars, and solo performances, Byrnes plays about 150 shows every year. That being the case, it's no surprise that from Billerica to Berlin, his songs are born from a life on the road. You need look no farther than "Heart like Mine", in which he explores the theme by singing about the roads that take him from show to show.

Two Sides to This Town is an album that is a product of Byrnes' busy touring schedule. However not all of the songs are road songs. "Angelia" is a contemplative song, and the one from which the album takes its title. "I named it Two Sides To This Town in a sort of admission to the division within the U.S. at the moment, and that I am looking for answers to that division."

Seeking is another common theme on this album, whether the object of the search is answers to a division of people, a car that doesn't break down all the time, or simply the next show. With Byrnes the search for the next show is constant, which is a good thing because it means he'll continue to write and record heartfelt songs like the ones on this album.

With his EP "So Many Bars, So Many Saturday Nights" and a European tour in September 2021 Bobbo Byrnes is the proof of concept that it takes more than a pandemic to stop a musician doing his thing!

In the Media

“Bobbo Byrnes offers an approach that is the essence of genuine Americana - heart wrenching, passionate and a sound that’s both tender and tenacious without compromising either. It only takes a cursory listen to ‘Two Sides to This Town’ to recognize the fact that an important and essential new artist has indeed arrived.”
-Goldmine Magazine

“It is strange that he is not a bigger name with his secure, flashy and sometimes shabby northern country and Americana accurately described as more Westerberg than Skynyrd.”
-Blues Roots Corner Belgium

“Bobbo Byrnes is one of the hardest working musicians in the Americana community today.”
-LA Music Critic

“…is one of those albums you stumble across and wonder why the hell this guy isn't better known.”
